Nina Braad Iskov

Education: MSc. in Mathematical Modelling and Computation at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Start in Demant: 2024

Hello, my name is Nina and I am the 2024 Engineering Graduate at Demant.

My passion for applying technology to biomedical purposes led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. During my studies, I learned how to utilize different technologies to analyze and optimize diagnostic and treatment processes. I was particularly captivated by the effectiveness of machine learning in this field, which inspired me to pursue a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modelling and Computation, focusing on machine learning and data science.

I applied for the Graduate program for several reasons. This year’s Engineering Track focuses on software development and machine learning for improving hearing care, making it an ideal opportunity to combine my interests in machine learning and biomedical engineering. Additionally, the program has increased focus on professional and personal growth, offering excellent career development opportunities, which I find very appealing.

My first rotation is in the Software Quality department, followed by two rotations in the Device Software department. Since joining, I have been working on a project to improve the end-user experience of the app. This role has allowed me to build a broad network across various departments and gain insights into both the technical and business aspects of the project, while maintaining a quality mindset to meet end-user expectations. In my next rotation, I will work at the intersection between research and development, exploring the application of machine learning for sound processing on the hearing aid platform.

In my free time, you will find me in dance studios, at concerts, or at home engaged in creative projects like knitting or crocheting. Feel free to reach out if you would like to hear more about me or the graduate program!
