From humble beginnings to global impact
GSI was founded in 1949 by Rufus Grason and Steven Stadler, initially focusing on behavioural research instruments for university psychology departments and the pharmaceutical industry. In 1952, GSI launched its first commercially available audiometer, marking the beginning of its journey in manufacturing electronic medical instruments for hearing research and clinical measurement.
Since then, GSI has been at the forefront of audiometric innovation, transforming the field of audiometric equipment and continually improving to support clinicians and enhance patient care. Today, GSI’s technologies, designed to minimize downtime, are used worldwide, ensuring clinicians have reliable devices to support their patients.
