New Human Resources and Sustainability policies in Demant
With new legislation and increasing external demands for running a global business as a backdrop, Demant sets out to enhance the implementation of global, group-wide policies and guidelines. The first step is the launch of new global Human Resources (HR) and Sustainability policies.
Both policies enrich the catalogue of global, group-wide policies within key areas that Demant currently has. The Sustainability Policy lays out the overall direction, ambition and targets for the work with sustainability in Demant and furthermore focuses on detailed elements such as human rights and the environmental aspects of sustainability.
The HR Policy sets standards for a good and developing work environment. In addition, it gives directions for leaders on how to lead and develop the company and thus clarifies what employees can expect from their workplace and in turn also what the workplace expects from its employees.
“With increasing global demands for how to run our business, we use central, strategic documents that create a common direction across our global organisation, ensuring clear rules to follow and that our stakeholders know Demant’s viewpoint on different environment, social and governance matters. At the same time, policies support our business goals as they include Group’s targets and actions on different parameters. As a company we have an obligation to act in a transparent way, both internally and externally” says Demant CFO René Schneider.
